A moving docudrama about a young Ukrainian couple making their way to Australia from a European refugee camp after the Second World War.

The dramatised documentary MIKE AND STEFANI charts the journey of a young Ukrainian couple who are separated during the Second World War. Sent to different labour camps in Germany, they become refugees when the war ends. Finally reunited, and afraid to return to their homeland, can they find a new home in Australia? MIKE AND STEFANI was commissioned by the Department of Immigration to help Australians adjust to a sudden influx of non-British migrants in the late 1940s and early 1950s.
