An Australian scientist is on a quest to save the honeybee from annihilation.

Australian bee pathologist Dr Denis Anderson is on a quest to save the honeybee from the devastating Varroa destructor mite. HONEYBEE BLUES follows Anderson from the native bush and orchards of Australia to the industrial farmlands of the United States and the highlands of Papua New Guinea. The film is both a 21st century cautionary tale and a scientific detective story, revealing how honeybees came under threat and what is being done to save them.
