An unconventional documentary about the in-demand Australian designer whose brutal murder in 1977 remains a mystery.

Almost nothing about Florence Broadhurst was as it seemed. A flamboyant Australian artist and designer, her signature use of colour and pattern captured the world’s imagination. Her bold and exotic wallpaper designs were in demand internationally when she was brutally murdered in her Sydney studio in 1977. To this day, the mystery of her death remains unsolved. This vibrant documentary by acclaimed director Gillian Armstrong (Little Women, My Brilliant Career) uses animation, reenactments and other techniques to reveal the many lives of the glamorous, complicated and unconventional Florence Broadhurst.
